The Vermont Ukulele Society

VtUkes was a lot of fun tonight!  New folks & new tunes! (Old tunes really, but new to us as a group!). I really enjoyed Love Potion #9 and the Beatles tunes. I've really missed taking part in our get togethers, and now that my summertime musical groups have wrapped up I can spend more time on the ukulele. 

One of the things we talked about was the need to move to new digs.  Living Well Care Home has been very kind to let us meet there, but we are starting to outgrow the facility. So, Howden Hall seems to be the logical choice.  It'll cost $15 per night which will probably mean passing the hat to handle the expense.  Another thing that was brought up is  members bringing or suggesting songs for future meetings, and having meetings that have a special focus on a style or decade.

Finally, this is our website!  I've set it up with the purpose of being not only informative but interactive as well.  If I set it up correctly, ALL MEMBERS can post to this Blog page as well as the FORUM!   Let's use it to generate ideas for song repertoire, share websights & insights,

PS: My thought is to use the Blog for commenting on meetings, and to use the Forum as a place to collect ideas by topic.   Let's just give it a go & see what happens!
