The Vermont Ukulele Society

It's been a busy week for the Vermont Ukulele Society!  Last week we had an extra practice to tidy up the intros & outros on our song set for the Bristol Harvest Festival on Sept. 26th.  Then there was the festival performance itself.  In Kitty's words, "WE ROCKED!"  I agree!  We stepped up to the mics and just wailed!  Our mini set included Ukulele Lady, My Little Grass Shack, Hello Ma Baby, Five Foot Two, Button Up Your Overcoat, and Love Potion #9. 

We had our regular meeting on Sept. 28th at Howden Hall.  New songs included: Avalon, Bungalow Built for Two, and Tonight You Belong to Me.  We also worked on adding the riffs to Ring of Fire.  Finally Jim & Jen performed a lovely arrangement of As Time Goes By.  (All of these songs can be found & downloaded here.)

Finally, (and this time I really do mean FINALLY!)Jim posted some additional pictures to the Photo Gallery.  It's exciting to look back at  just a few of the many fun musical experiences we've had over the last couple of years, and wonder what's in store for the year ahead!
