About Me
Live here in Georgia, Vermont . I learned to play the uke while living in Hawaii during high school. Always played with it over the years but didn't progress. For the last 8 years or so I have been playing quite a bit more.
I always wanted a tenor uke like my instructor in Hawaii or so I thought and I found what turned out to be Harmony baritone uke for $10 and all broken up. At the time I glued it together only and played with it. Well later for some reason I decided to repair it and so I stripped, filled the holes, stained it and now it looks like my Martin and plays quite well.
Well that uke got me started in repairing, refinishing and fooling around with that sort of stuff. It's a fun and rewarding hobby and I continue to improve in my techniques. I suppose good enough that a number of people have had me refurbish, repair and improve their ukes if it's within my skill level.
Well that's it for now.
Dennis
